Sponsors, Collaborators & Partnerships
Our community partners support Greenacres in many ways, through sponsorships, grants, employment pathways, shared advocacy and long-term collaboration. From major supporters and funding bodies to employment partners, sporting organisations and alliances such as the Illawarra Disability Alliance, each partnership plays a vital role in creating meaningful opportunities for people of all abilities across our region.
Community Partner Impact Stories
Wollongong Homeless Hub
Greenacres is proud to partner with Wollongong Homeless Hub to aid them in delivering and restocking food for their pantries across the Illawarra.
As a partner of the Homeless Hub, we assist with sorting, stocking and sharing essential items such as clothing, food and toiletries. This opportunity sees Greenacres participants contribute their time through volunteering, building responsibility and a sense of purpose.
Hawks
A group of our diehard Hawks supporters was excited to be offered an opportunity to work directly with the team, giving out flyers and hyping up the team during home games at WIN Stadium. As officially recognised Hawks volunteers, they play a part in the game-day team, providing support with activities, handing out merchandise and flyers, and assisting fans before the game begins. This opportunity enables participants to be integrated into the community and build confidence, as well as social skills.
Illawarra Disability Alliance
Greenacres is a proud member of the Illawarra Disability Alliance, bringing together leading NDIS providers from the region to unite and advocate for the rights of people with disability. Together with 13 other providers, we promote the benefits of registered not-for-profit organisations as providers of quality person-centred disability services in the region, and speak as a unified voice on matters related to people with disability and the industry as a whole.
IRT
Our partnership with IRT provides Greenacres participants with enriching experiences, allowing them to spend time as Intergenerational Companions, assisting older people in aged care and retirement homes, sharing stories, laughter and simple moments of connection. The group spends time bringing comfort, joy and friendship to residents, making the experience great for everyone!
